This occurs more often with louder or mid-heavy sections, which is why we recommend quieter songs at the end of a side. This can be especially problematic with 7" records at 33 1/3 RPM. Not every pressing plant is set up to press 10" records, but there are some that would be more than willing to accommodate. This photo shows what a 10" cut looks like on one of our 14" lacquer discs. Depending on the intensity of program material, we recommend up to 15 minutes per side at 33 1/3 RPM and up to 10 minutes for 45 RPM. Often times this will play just fine if put into production, but not ideal and can be dealt with by an experienced cutting engineer.
