Today, we want to highlight the reissue of the self-titled album from The Doug Carn Trio, cut from tape (AAA) here at Well Made Music. This is a relatively obscure album that originally came out in 1968 on Savoy records, approaching the soul jazz style with a free jazz flavor. This was cut here by Clint Holley @concretecowboy71 and @dave.polster and was released through @realgonemusic . Check this one out, it’s a very cool album!

JUST IN TIME FOR SPOOKY SEASON: It was an absolute pleasure to work on the new reissue of Monster Surfing Time by The Deadly Ones! For the uninitiated, this is a cult classic Halloween Surf record from 1964. For this re-release, we had the opportunity to work with the original master tapes for an all-analog (AAA) pressing. This was released through @realgonemusic and cut from tape here at Well Made Music. Pictured here are some positive reviews from Discogs users, and we’re glad we were able to be a part of something that people enjoy. Whether you’re familiar with the album already, or if you just dig classic Halloween and Surf music, we highly recommend picking up a copy of this one while you can!

Sinn Sisamouth - Groove Club Vol. 5 is the latest collection of tracks issued by @lionproductionslabel . Sinn Sisamouth was one of the all-time greats of Cambodian music, and worked through a very difficult time, historically. These are 60s and 70s recordings, many of which were not in the best condition when discovered. Well Made Music’s @dave.polster worked on the restoration, remastering and lacquer cutting for this project. Test pressings are absolutely essential no matter what project you're working on, but we also highly recommend reference lacquers so you can critique the cut before it goes into production.
